Medical Receptionist Job Opportunity

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a medical setting, providing excellent patient care and support. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients attending the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information
  • Liaise with medical staff regarding client attendance and other clinical matters
  • Generate and process client attendance documents as required
  • Operate and maintain label printers and other equipment
  • Liaise with Medicare or online systems for patient cards
  • Secure and unlock the clinic, including operation of security systems
  • Send mail and packages as needed
  • Ensure reception and waiting areas are tidy and organized
  • Make appointments for clients and coordinate patient transport arrangements
Requirements:
  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status pursuant to section 50D of the Equal Opportunity Act
  • Understanding of basic medical terminology
  • Previous experience in a medical reception or similar role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Demonstrated high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage client enquiries/issues effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and productivity
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word & Excel)
