Overview

As a seasoned workshop manager, you will play a pivotal role in our Engineering team in Adelaide. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and supporting a dedicated workshop, while fostering a strong safety culture.

This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your management experience and drive the implementation of key initiatives. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Overseeing and managing a dedicated workshop supporting Explosive Ordnance Projects
  2. Leading the implementation of the onsite Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tool
  3. Managing servicing and calibration of technical equipment within the workshop
  4. Driving a safety culture within the customer site to ensure WHS compliance among all workshop users
  5. Providing technical input to support user requirements
  6. Developing or maintaining documentation such as Work Orders, Work Instructions, SOPs, Risk Assessments, and Equipment maintenance procedures
  7. Potentially supporting customer training and competency management

To excel in this role, you will need to possess significant manufacturing or production experience leading safety-critical technical operations, along with a Certificate IV in WH&S (preferred). Additionally, you should have substantial hands-on and supervisory experience in a multi-discipline workshop environment, as well as experience leading teams within technical quality management frameworks. The ability to engage positively with teams and stakeholders is also essential.
