Project Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at Monash University, working on a project focused on developing methods for self-tuning photonic circuits. This project aims to harness the potential of optical microcombs to enable complex photonic functionality and push the boundaries of energy-efficient photonic acceleration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop photonic chip architectures for self-tuning applications
  • Characterize and optimize photonic devices for high-performance operation
  • Collaborate with our team to integrate photonic chips into various systems
  • Contribute to the development of optical microcombs for breakthrough science
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • Strong background in optics, photonics, and/or communications engineering
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
