PhD Researcher in Photonic Circuits

Monash University is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our research team in the field of photonic circuits for microcombs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project that aims to leverage microcombs to make the most of the bandwidth advantage.
About the ProjectThe project focuses on the use of self-calibrating photonic chips in various optical systems, including optical communications links, artificial neural networks, and scientific instruments based on optical microcombs. The successful candidate will be trained in photonic chip design, photonic device characterization, and the use of photonic chips in various systems.
About the OpportunityAs part of this PhD, you will have the opportunity to work with local and international academics and industry partners, including COMBS partners NBN Co. and Infinera/Nokia. You will also have the chance to develop a career in academia or industry, with skills in photonic chip design, characterization, and application.
