About the Role
We are currently looking for a skilled Produce Department Manager to lead our fruit and vegetable department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage the department as their own business, tailoring our service and product offering to meet the specific needs of our customers in the local area.
About You
- You must have fresh food retail knowledge and experience in managing a fruit and vegetable department.
- You should be an expert in supervising staff and have a solid understanding of ordering, cost control, and gross profit.
- Accurate staff rostering and time management skills will be highly regarded.
- A 'hands-on' approach with unparalleled commitment to customer service is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to liaise with both staff and management, are necessary.
- A flair for merchandising and strong leadership/delegation skills are also required.
- You should be committed to occupational health and safety standards.
