As an Animation Intern, you'll work at their Firemonkeys Studio in Melbourne, Australia, producing high-quality mobile games.

Your responsibilities will include developing skills as an animator and pre-production artist, learning new software and techniques to create polished animations and believable characters.

You'll collaborate with a talented team to produce engaging in-game performances that enhance player experience.

Key tasks include:

  • Applying animation principles and key-frame techniques to craft charismatic actions for human and animal characters
  • Developing relationships with other departments to determine technical requirements for animated assets
  • Working closely with content teams to generate imaginative updates for SFP
  • Building 3D model proxy meshes and basic rigs for asset pre-production
  • Responding to feedback and iterating on animated sequences to achieve desired polish levels

A successful candidate will have a strong foundation in 3D animation software, such as Maya, and experience in creating pose-to-pose key-framed animations.

The expected salary range is approximately **$65,000 - $75,000** per annum, depending on location and qualifications.
