About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Employment Coach.
This role involves providing one-to-one support to participants with disabilities, helping them achieve their employment goals and build their capacity towards employment.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with participants at various stages of their employment journey.
- Provide a supportive environment for individuals with disabilities to help them reach their employment goals.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans and 12-week plans outlining the participant's journey towards finding and sustaining employment.
- Facilitate individual and group activities, using enabling styles such as job readiness skills, volunteering/work experience, and confidence building.
- Maintain efficiency and compliance with administrative processes in line with organizational policies, procedures, legislative requirements, and guidelines from the National Disability Insurance Agency.
- Prioritize tasks and ensure all work is completed within designated time frames while maintaining data integrity.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- The ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated.
- Proactive attitude, showing initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Resilience and patience when working with complex behaviors.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
- A reliable vehicle with current comprehensive car insurance.
- Demonstrated ability to provide vocational support to participants with disabilities.
- Experience in facilitating individual and group educational activities.
- High level of customer service skills, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
