Job Title: Financial Operations Manager

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring effective management of financial statements, cash flow, and process optimization.

This position involves leading internal and external auditing procedures, as well as supporting annual budgeting initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Management: Manage accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards.
  • Department Operations: Oversee accounting department operations, including accounts receivable, revenue, accounts payable, inventory, and cash disbursements.
  • Cash Management: Review cash projections and monitor incoming and outgoing cash.
  • Month-End-Close Process: Lead month-end-close processes and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual variances in general ledger accounts.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage tax filings and compliance, including sales tax, 1099s, and business personal property tax.
  • Financial Policies: Maintain and update financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
  • Process Improvement: Lead process improvement and automation initiatives within the department.

Staff Management:

  • New Hire Selection: Complete new hire selection and timesheet administration efficiently.
  • Employee Training: Ensure proper training for assigned tasks.
  • Employee Efficiency: Monitor employee efficiency and adherence to deadlines.
  • Cross-Training: Cross-train staff at every opportunity.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date, secure documentation of department processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Accounting and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Experience: 6–10 years of accounting and managerial experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience required.

This is a mid-senior level, full-time position in the accounting/auditing and management field, preferably with healthcare experience.
