Job Opportunity: Assistant Controller PositionSeeking an accomplished accounting professional to lead our U.S. and Canadian accounting operations as an Assistant Controller. This high-impact role requires expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and team leadership.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting and month-end close processes for both U.S. and Canadian regions.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls, and corporate policies.
  • Analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Support audits, SEC reporting, and tax compliance activities to maintain regulatory adherence.
  • Mentor and manage a team of 3–4 accounting professionals to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
Requirements:
  • 8–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, with exposure to revenue, lease, and equity accounting preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems, preferably Workday.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical and communication abilities.
  • A leadership mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
