Enhanced Care Clinician Role

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Enhanced Care Clinician to join our multi-disciplinary team in community mental health. As an Enhanced Care Clinician, you will play a vital role in delivering focused assessments, brief interventions and stepped care for young people aged 12-25 with, or at risk of mental illness in the local area.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting the principles of early intervention and establishing links with local stakeholders
  • Maintaining and promoting awareness of young people's primary health issues in the community
  • Providing thorough assessment and evidence-based brief intervention to young people referred to the outreach service
  • Developing a systems-based approach to young people and facilitating the provision of appropriate services across government and non-government agencies

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mental Health Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
  • AHPRA Registration or AASW eligibility
  • Extensive experience (1-2 years minimum) providing primary mental health intervention, conducting assessment and providing evidence-based treatment and case management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to the mental health needs of young people (12-25 years) and their families
