Clinical Coordinator for Families Affected by Mental Illness

We are seeking an experienced mental health professional to join our team as a Clinical Coordinator for Families Affected by Mental Illness. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with consumers, carers and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care and support for families affected by mental illness.

  • This role involves working with children and young people aged 0-17 years, their families and carers to consult, coordinate care and support needs when a parent experiences mental illness.
  • The successful applicant will have extensive experience in mental health working with children and young people, their families and carers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in health promotion, training and education, specialist early intervention programs and/or understanding of and participation in community development programs is essential.

This is a temporary part-time position until July 2026, with 14 hours per week. We offer a range of benefits including salary packaging options, discounted gym memberships, employee assistance program and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult and coordinate care for families affected by mental illness.
  • Develop and implement health promotion and education programs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
Selection Criteria:
  • Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the Health Professionals (State) Award for Occupational Therapy and Social Work with AHPRA registration for Occupational Therapy or eligibility to AASW for Social Work OR recognised qualification in Psychology with current registration with AHPRA OR degree in Nursing with recognised post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in mental health working with children and young people 0-17 years of age, their families and carers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in health promotion, training and education, specialist early intervention programs and/or understanding of and participation in community development programs.
