We are seeking a skilled Youth Counsellor to provide mental health and wellbeing services to young people aged 12-25. This role involves undertaking assessments, triage, and referrals, as well as providing early intervention counselling and support services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings of young people and their families to determine care needs.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address the mental health and psycho-social needs of young people.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate referrals and transitions to appropriate support and treatment streams.
- Provide evidence-based interventions and support services to young people at risk of developing mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Qualifications in Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, Psychology, or other relevant field.
- Eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional organisation/authority.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health and/or substance use problems.
- Flexible work arrangements to achieve work-life balance.
- Continuous learning and development opportunities.
