We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Newly by HealthcareLink. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and pursue their goals.

Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and communication.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality care and support.
- Collaborate with our team to provide comprehensive support services, including social support, domestic assistance, and community access.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized support plans, ensuring that clients' needs and goals are met.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in disability support.
- Full Australian Work Rights
- Relevant qualifications in Disability or an equivalent (Cert III or IV)
- 2+ doses of Covid-19 Vaccinations
- Australian Drivers License
- National Police Check (issued in the last 24 months)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid
- Working With Children Check
- Experience (2+ years preferable)
- Flexibility and work-life balance: Work the hours you choose, accepting support shifts that fit within your schedule.
- Fair Pay: We follow the disability services industrial award, which means pay rates are guaranteed and determined annually. Our pay covers penalty rates for higher wages when working nights, weekends, or public holidays, as well as overtime. We also pay superannuation and long service leave (where applicable) to support the long-term financial security of our workers.
- All care: Taking care of our employees ensures that they can do their best work. We provide paid training for support workers to access learning opportunities and develop their skills. Plus, there are extra opportunities like support worker conferences and other events.
- Full responsibility: Our support workers have access to a suite of insurances covering all shifts worked on, including workers' compensation. We have a dedicated employee support team to help our employees get the most out of their job, and 24/7 incident response if anything unexpected happens on shift. We take responsibility for working conditions and employee wellbeing.
- Ongoing training and development opportunities: Paid training for a quality disability support workforce. We pay workers for essential and specialized training.
We are seeking support workers to work 3 to 4 shifts a week, with 8-hour shift lengths. Shift times are: 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, and 10pm to 6am (Active overnight).
