About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team in Port Kembla. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of heavy industrial and commercial waste vehicles.

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  1. Inspect, maintain, and repair VES vehicles to meet operational requirements and deadlines.
  2. Ensure all vehicles operate at maximum efficiency and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  3. Complete scheduled daily work tasks as directed by the Supervisor/Manager in an efficient and timely manner.
  4. Collaborate with team members and assist in the development of apprentices.
  5. Document maintenance activities accurately and adhere to administrative procedures.
  6. Promote and drive Veolia's 'Always Safe' safety culture.

Requirements

  • A Heavy Vehicle/Heavy Machinery Mechanic trade qualification is essential.
  • Previous experience servicing heavy vehicles is highly desirable.
  • A strong focus on safety, with a proactive approach to improving safety and risk management.
  • A current Heavy Rigid Licence is required.
