Theatre Booking Officer Role

Cabrini Health seeks a skilled Theatre Booking Officer to join our team in Melbourne's southeast.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrative professional to utilise their skills and experience in a dynamic perioperative environment.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, has excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and is able to work efficiently and respectfully within a team.

As a Theatre Booking Officer, you will be responsible for performing activities and duties within the theatre area alongside liaising on a daily basis with surgeons private rooms to ensure the surgical lists are appropriately prepared for theatre.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Surgical List Preparation: Ensure that all necessary information is accurately documented and updated on patient records, including details of upcoming surgeries and medical histories.
  • Liaison with Surgeons and Clinical Staff: Develop effective working relationships with surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure seamless communication and efficient theatre operations.
  • Provision of Administrative Support: Provide high-quality administrative support to the theatre team, including processing paperwork, maintaining accurate records, and responding to queries from patients and families.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Identify and resolve issues promptly, communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to maintain a smooth and efficient service.
