Return to Work Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our dedicated claims team as a Return to Work Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping injured workers regain their independence and return to work.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and has experience working in a fast-paced environment.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing complex claims, providing timely and empathetic support to injured workers, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will need strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of worker's compensation claims, providing timely and empathetic support to injured workers and employers.
  • Conduct claims reviews, case conferences, or face-to-face meetings with clients as required.
  • Provide accurate and complete information to all stakeholders, including options about any claim, entitlements, obligations, and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve positive outcomes for injured workers and employers.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with competing priorities such as customer service, medical reception, or call centre.
  • Strong PC skills with the ability to quickly pick up new systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence a variety of stakeholders.
  • Empathetic, resilient, and solutions-focused when managing complex or sensitive situations.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to think creatively to overcome challenges.
