The successful candidate will be responsible for managing interventions to achieve optimal recovery and return-to-work outcomes for high-risk cases, working closely with case managers to apply advanced injury and return-to-work management skills.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to gather information from various stakeholders to develop effective case management strategies.
You will also need to have experience in preparing and attending claims reviews and clinical case conferences to effectively facilitate outcomes.
Additionally, you should have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as resilience and perseverance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather information from various stakeholders to develop effective case management strategies.
- Manage interventions to achieve optimal recovery and return-to-work outcomes for high-risk cases.
- Work closely with case managers to apply advanced injury and return-to-work management skills.
- Prepare and attend claims reviews and clinical case conferences to effectively facilitate outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
This role requires at least two years' experience in claims management in the workers' compensation scheme, ideally in return-to-work case management.
You should have knowledge of medical and paramedical terminology and procedures, including the forms of treatment applicable to injuries.
A strong working knowledge of the Accident Compensation Act 1985 and associated regulations is also essential.
