Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Site Monitoring Specialist to join our team in Sydney, NSW.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining geotechnical and structural instrumentation for major infrastructure projects. Your primary focus will be on ensuring adherence to safety procedures at all times while working independently and unsupervised on construction sites and in office settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain various types of sensors and monitoring equipment to collect data on soil movements, ground settlement, and other site-specific parameters.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the instrumentation systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement site monitoring plans that meet project requirements.
  • Analyze data from instrumentation systems to identify trends and potential issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in site monitoring, geotechnical instrumentation, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment, such as drillers, lasers, and data loggers.
  • Strong understanding of site monitoring techniques, including geotechnical instrumentation, surveying, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
