The Role

This position is responsible for managing SIG's facilities infrastructure across the APAC region, including offices and data centers.

You will work closely with the APAC Business and Technology teams, as well as the Global Facilities team, to provide solutions for our dynamic, fast-growing business in the region.

  • Evaluate and optimize electrical and mechanical services infrastructure, including UPS systems, electrical distribution systems, generators, data centers, chilled water systems, HVAC equipment, fire detection and suppression systems, access control, and environmental monitoring systems.
  • Monitor building services, identify issues, and resolve them promptly.
  • Negotiate service contracts and select suitable contractors.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and architects on designing, project management, and delivering new leasehold construction projects.
  • Oversee infrastructure maintenance activities and supervise contractors for preventive and remedial maintenance, general repairs, and new installations, both during and outside normal business hours.
  • Ensure all work performed is documented clearly and meets the planned scope of works, completed at an appropriate level of quality.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience/courses.
  • Demonstrated technical skills and experience in supporting electrical and/or mechanical services infrastructure.
  • A thorough multidiscipline understanding of Data Center operations and strong working knowledge of critical Data Center support environments such as HVAC, Electrical Switch Gear, UPS Systems, Power Distribution Devices, Fire Suppression, and Monitoring Systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and install and troubleshoot software applications.
  • Self-motivation and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Focused on Innovation (cost savings, increased efficiencies, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with IT terminology, hardware, and change management processes.
  • Familiarity with aspects of Disaster Recovery as it pertains to critical infrastructure.
  • Ability to utilize various electrical, air flow, and environmental monitoring systems; ability to utilize electrical/mechanical and HVAC test equipment to troubleshoot and document equipment performance;
  • Project Assessment/Design/Implementation Skills/Change Management.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000-$120,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
