Our Strategic Plan
- Protect vulnerable consumers while enabling all consumers to participate in electricity and gas markets.
- Effectively regulate competitive electricity and gas markets primarily through monitoring and reporting, and enforcement and compliance.
- Deliver efficient regulation of monopoly electricity and gas infrastructure.
- Support the transition to net zero emissions.
Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and activities.
- Lead and empower senior leadership teams.
- Maintain regular contact with the Chair.
- Oversee strategic planning and objective identification.
- Recommend operational changes.
- Ensure accurate information and materials for governance and decision making.
- Implement board-approved policies and processes.
- Instil purpose and values.
- Represent the organisation externally.
Requirements
- Executive-level management experience.
- Understanding of government operations and regulations.
- Knowledge of Australian energy markets and their objectives.
- Proven performance management skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields.
