Cyber Security Project Manager

NCC Group APAC is in search of a seasoned Project Manager to enhance our rapidly growing MXDR (Managed Extended Detection and Response) division. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing onboarding initiatives for our MXDR suite across various clients in the APAC region. This includes managing Hosted / Managed SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management) solutions, EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) implementations, and NDR (Network Detection and Response) services. A background in cyber security is crucial, along with experience in managing technical onboarding projects for large-scale clients.

Key Responsibilities

As a proficient IT and cyber security expert, you will not only excel in delivering projects for multinational clients in the APAC region but also contribute to the ongoing enhancement of project management practices, processes, and frameworks. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will take a lead role in managing all aspects of projects:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Forecasting and managing project budgets
  • Crafting project briefs, plans, and proposals
  • Estimating resources, timelines, and cost structures
  • Monitoring overall progress and reporting, with timely escalation of issues
  • Managing client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Implementing solutions and supporting processes for business transition to BAU operations
  • Defining project delivery strategies, work streams, and outputs
  • Ensuring successful project delivery and closure
  • Producing comprehensive project reports, including RAID logs, Project Initiation Documents, Checkpoint Reporting, and closure reports with lessons learned.

Additionally, you will adopt a hands-on approach to manage the technical components of all MXDR-related projects and support our Service Delivery Management team by:

  • Leading daily stand-ups with development teams to ensure project timelines are met
  • Collaborating with the NCC Group PMO for smooth client transitions from implementation to live service.
  • Engaging with relevant internal NCC stakeholders, including Account Directors for commercial matters, SOC team members for technical inquiries, and technical engineers for service enhancements.
  • Coordinating and delivering monthly MSS reports for clients.
  • Organizing and facilitating client Quarterly Service Review (QSR) sessions.
  • Supporting sales initiatives on client calls as needed, explaining NCC Group MXDR service delivery and operations.
  • Managing client relationships and satisfaction metrics, including CSAT surveys.
  • Ensuring alignment with the global NCC MXDR team, with occasional meetings outside standard hours.

Required Experience

  • Strong technical communication skills with a proven track record in dynamic client environments, acting as a liaison between client, functional, and technical teams on projects.
  • Experience in the IT sector, particularly within cyber security.
  • Proven success in a corporate customer-facing role.
  • Desirable qualifications include Prince2 / Agile project management.
  • Experience as a Technical Project Manager or in a similar technical/customer-facing role delivering large-scale global projects.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills with a history of delivering quality outcomes within budget and timelines.
  • Demonstrable technical experience in areas of computer security, including:
  • Delivery of cyber security-related software solutions, cloud services, endpoint software rollouts, network infrastructure, and security detection tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including MS Project, MS PowerPoint) and Outlook.
