We're seeking a Medical Strategy Lead to join our team.

About the Role

This position provides medical and scientific leadership and oversight for the Patient Value Unit (PVU) and oversees the operations of the Medical Information function. The medical head is the internal expert for a specific therapy area in UCB's Australian affiliate local operating company medical department.

The medical lead provides coaching and training for the Medical Team, including Medical Science Liaisons. This role participates in the operational provision of general medical affairs activities:

  • Compliance review
  • Support for drug safety/LS function as required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and scientific guidance as part of the PVU Leadership Team
  • Develop and implement the PVU Medical Strategy in collaboration with the other members of the PVU Leadership Team
  • Oversee developments, adaptation, and implementation of materials and educational programs designed to advance UCB's medical and scientific agenda
  • Lead local Integrated Scientific Evidence Generation Plans together with the local Medical and APEX functions
  • Assess feasibility and strategic alignment of unsolicited investigator-initiated studies
  • Identify unmet needs to develop a real-world evidence (RWE) strategic plan
  • Represent country in discussions with regional Connector and Global involving clinical research projects

  • You have 7+ years' experience in a Medical function (e.g., Medical Science Liaison, Medical Advisor)
  • You have experience in the field of neurology or a related field
  • You hold a graduate degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine
