Leading the Way in Emergency Medicine

The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine seeks a seasoned Medical Director to spearhead its Emergency Department. This pivotal role demands strategic vision, leadership acumen, and governance expertise to oversee the delivery of emergency services to over 30,000 presentations annually.

As a leader in the field, you will provide expert supervision, advice, and mentoring to medical staff to ensure safe, evidence-based care. You will work collaboratively with nursing leadership to enhance health outcomes and patient experience, communicate effectively with inpatient services to guarantee seamless patient handovers, and maintain strong oversight of operational performance.

The ideal candidate possesses significant experience in emergency medicine services, preferably in a private sector setting. A demonstrated track record of clinical governance knowledge and experience is essential. Prior leadership experience is highly valued but not mandatory.
