The purpose is to deliver fit-for-purpose planning and delivery services that contribute to the success of the University as a vibrant and progressive institution.

The Buildings team are responsible for planning, developing, managing and maintaining all University assets. The role focuses on strategic physical planning advice and managing accommodation within the University.

The Space Design and Facilities Planning professional has responsibility for ensuring facilities planning services are designed, delivered efficiently and effectively to meet the strategic requirements of the University.

**Qualifications**: A postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience or relevant tertiary qualification with extensive management experience and proven expertise.

**Experience**:

  • Experience in scoping stakeholder requirements, brief development and interior design principles and standards.
  • Developing program plans, coordinating resources, scheduling to ensure delivery of detailed planning requirements and information.
  • A sound knowledge of Project Management and Space Management principles.
  • Legislation and standards, particularly National Construction Code of Australia, Occupational Health and Safety and contracts including Australian Standards.
  • Relevant space design and planning systems experience (i.e. AutoCAD, Revit).

Maintain a focus on conceptual narratives and adaptability to manage project workload. Excellent verbal and graphic communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Demonstrated ability to participate in teams through the life of the project. Knowledge of procurement, construction, detailing and building services.
