This Housekeeping Team Lead position is an exciting opportunity to join the Accor team at Ibis Glen Waverley in Melbourne. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for leading and supervising the team to maintain high cleanliness standards and provide exceptional service to our guests.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • Assist the Assistant Housekeeping Manager in maintaining daily room checks and team performance
  • Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure adherence to hotel cleanliness and maintenance standards
  • Handle guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping services, ensuring prompt resolutions and excellent customer satisfaction
  • Optimize the use of cleaning supplies and equipment to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
  • Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance their skills and performance
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory capacity
  • In-depth knowledge of cleaning and sanitation processes, as well as relevant industry standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural environments
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Familiarity with hotel-specific cleaning procedures and safety protocols is an advantage
