We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Fitter to join our team in Mackay.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual to contribute to the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the safety and integrity of equipment through proactive awareness and thorough inspections
- Carrying out complex repairs and overhauls of hydraulic and mechanical components on various equipment
- Liaising with technical specialists to resolve technical issues and improve efficiency
- Completing accurate and timely documentation and reporting
- Mentoring and coaching apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum Certificate III in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
- Demonstrated experience in heavy diesel mechanics and field service fitting, with a strong understanding of construction equipment
- An analytical mindset, with the ability to navigate complex technical issues and deliver quality outcomes
- Strong initiative and productivity, with a focus on efficient planning and delivery
