Diesel Fitter Job in Mackay

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team based in Mackay. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics and be able to work independently.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing maintenance and support to machinery, including onsite repairs and fault finding. They will also be required to assist with the demobilization of machinery and prepare it for transport.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled Diesel Fitter to work on a variety of projects and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide maintenance and support to machinery
  • Assist with demobilization and preparation for transport
  • Carry out onsite repairs and fault finding
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
  • Trade qualification in Diesel Fitting or equivalent
  • Previous experience in bare chassis rebuilds and HME maintenance
  • Strong diagnostic skills and a thorough understanding of diesel mechanics
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
