Job Role Overview

The primary aim of this position is to conceptualise and implement effective strategies to promote positive change within workplaces.

This role requires a strong emphasis on member recruitment, development, and engagement. Key objectives include:

  • Assisting members in achieving fairness at work, job security, and optimal pay and conditions
  • Enhancing our reputation as a union that employees desire to join
  • Promoting our members' interests through public and political channels

The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for social justice and community campaigning, with experience working with progressive organisations or causes. They will also exhibit excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to lead, organise, motivate, and develop individuals or groups.
