This is an exciting opportunity to work with the public and political campaign unit as a Political/Campaign Organiser.

The successful candidate will assist with implementing political, public, and community organising plans and campaigns, focusing on building relationships, motivating and developing individuals or groups.

They will also organise Commonwealth parliamentary workplaces, including Members of Parliament Staff, by recruiting members, identifying and developing delegates and workplace leaders.

The role will involve helping members achieve fairness at work, job security, and the best possible pay and decent conditions through effective campaigns and strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A commitment to union values and principles, high-level verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated understanding of the Australian political system and environment are essential.

Selection criteria include experience as a union activist or delegate, involvement in union, community, student, environment or other campaigns/collective activities, and a current driver's license.
