Orthopaedic Surgery Senior Registrar Role

This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills in a contemporary clinical environment. As a Senior Registrar Medical Officer (SRMO) in Orthopaedic Surgery, you will have the chance to develop your expertise and contribute to high-quality patient care.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Provide thorough clinical assessments, management advice, and patient care under supervision, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
  • Support operative procedures as required and participate in regular fracture clinic sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records, adhere to hospital policies, and promote a culture of patient safety and quality improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and be eligible for registration with a relevant healthcare regulatory agency.
  • Demonstrated experience as a registered medical practitioner, preferably with a minimum of two years' practice, and progress towards career goals in Orthopaedics.
  • Proven clinical competency and ability to work independently within a complex clinical environment, contributing to effective team collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic clinical setting.

Selection Criteria
  • Hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and be registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner for a minimum of two years with progress towards career goals in Orthopaedics.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency and an ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and problem-solving skills in the clinical setting as part of a multidisciplinary team.
