Operations Manager

As a Remote Operations Lead, you will play a critical role in managing the Bureau's National Observing Operations section. This involves overseeing the recruitment, training provision, and logistics associated with staffing and maintaining remote sites.
You will be responsible for reviewing and managing station rosters, working closely with Schedulers to assign work orders to staff on station for maintenance and operations based on service priorities.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage staff based at remote locations, including Antarctica and Sub Antarctic islands
- Oversee the recruitment, training provision, and logistics associated with staffing and maintaining remote sites
- Review and manage station rosters, working closely with Schedulers
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in a similar role or relevant industry experience
