Overview

A growing personal injury firm with a team of 25 staff members helps clients achieve life-changing results and maintains a tight-knit, supportive workplace.

The firm is seeking an Operations Manager to work directly with the Principal Lawyer and Director. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of the firm, allowing the legal team to focus on their clients.

Responsibilities

- Manage HR and staff administration, including contracts, onboarding, leave, and recruitment support.

- Keep compliance and policies current.

- Oversee relationships with suppliers, insurance providers, and IT support.

- Handle reporting duties, including weekly and monthly metrics, expenses, and performance data.

- Review existing workflows and performance (such as file progression and reporting) and recommend process improvements.

- Document procedures to ensure staff follow consistent steps.

- Supervise the implementation of new trackers, templates, and automation in relevant systems.

- Train staff on non-legal systems and ensure their successful adoption.

- Provide operational data, reports, metrics, and identify bottlenecks to inform decision-making.

- Translate strategic plans into effective workflows and system implementations.

- Proactively identify inefficiencies or risks, presenting potential solutions for review.

- Drive system improvements.

- Deliver operational projects within deadlines.

Qualifications

- Over 3 years of experience in operations or practice management, preferably within a law firm or professional services.

- Highly organized, proficient with technology, and dependable.

- Discreet, able to execute tasks smoothly and without fuss.
