Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Database Systems Manager to join our IT Services team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing high-performance SQL server environments and database systems for our core business systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and provide support to business systems and information systems with associated databases, including practice management, resource management, CRM and financial systems.
  • Developing and implementing configuration changes in accordance with change management procedures.
  • Maintain security of relevant business systems, including user on/off boarding, access controls, credentials, and log files.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving SQL environment operational efficiency.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly SQL data maintenance tasks.
  • Provide SQL Administration and Server Support including after hours when required.
  • Support major system change projects in conjunction with the other application teams.
  • Develop positive and effective working relationships with both internal colleagues and external clients, partners & vendors.
  • Actively participate the "Super Users' Forum" with key users and continue to promote and embed the relevant business systems.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualified in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Experience within an accounting/professional services environment supporting practice management, resource management, CRM and financial systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or newer including SQL Server High-Availability technology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server stack including Analysis Services (SSAS), Integration Services (SSIS) and Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Proficient with TSQL – including stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, etc.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the ITIL framework and/or other IT Service Management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of database concepts and technologies and database management best practices, including the implementation and management of highly-available database environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in the technical management and support of complex business systems.

Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
