Job Summary:

The Patient Advocate is a key role that provides knowledge, support and guidance to staff members.

This position requires skills in providing care to patients, collecting data for research purposes, understanding patient needs and building strong relationships with them. The goal is to enhance their experience through excellent customer service skills. Additionally, flexibility, compassion and initiative are critical to improving patient outcomes, experiences and data collection.

The Role

As a Patient Advocate, you will be responsible for collecting data with patients, providing support and information on processes and medication, managing patient expectations and experiences, learning about treatments and communicating this information to patients, supporting patient titration and advising patients to help them get the most from their treatment, monitoring and reporting clinic KPIs and collaborating on marketing projects and IT user-testing.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, an applicant must possess high-level initiative and self-motivation, display entrepreneurial spirit and be able to determine a strategy for success. They should also be collaborative, confident in using IT programs and learning new ones, well-groomed, detail-oriented and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in a role focused on customer interaction, working with patients with chronic conditions and maintaining composure in difficult conversations is highly desirable.
