About this Opportunity

I-MED Radiology Fortitude Valley is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Radiographer to take on the role of Chief Radiographer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our busy practice, providing leadership and support to our technologist staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage the daily technologist workforce requirements and productivity in the clinic, working closely with the Area Chief Radiographer to ensure effective staff rostering and leave management.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor technologist staff, providing clinical guidance and support to ensure high-quality medical imaging services.
  • Ensure outstanding service delivery and provide supervision of the day-to-day management of the Medical Imaging department.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, reviewing and refining work practices to improve clinical and financial outcomes.
  • Perform routine and specialized medical imaging procedures to the highest professional standards as required.
  • Establish and maintain strong, cooperative relationships with local GPs and referring specialists.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage, coach, and lead clinic staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality medical imaging examinations employing correct techniques to the accepted industry standard or above.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, staff, and other medical and non-medical personnel verbally and in writing.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to the culture and values of I-MED Radiology Network.
  • General and CT experience required; MRI highly regarded.
