I-MED Radiology Fortitude Valley is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Radiographer to take on the role of Chief Radiographer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our busy practice, providing leadership and support to our technologist staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency in the clinic, ensuring high-quality medical imaging services are delivered to referrers and patients.
- Manage and mentor technologist staff, providing clinical guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Collaborate with the Area Chief Radiographer to plan and manage the technologist workforce, ensuring adequate staffing levels and effective annual leave planning.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical and financial outcomes, reviewing and refining work practices as needed.
- Perform routine and specialized medical imaging procedures to the highest professional standards, as required.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local GPs and referring specialists, ensuring excellent communication and collaboration.
Requirements
- Proven ability to manage, coach, and lead clinic staff, with a strong focus on team engagement and development.
- Demonstrated expertise in performing high-quality medical imaging examinations, employing correct techniques to the accepted industry standard or above.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, staff, and other medical and non-medical personnel.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to the culture and values of I-MED Radiology Network.
- General and CT experience required; MRI highly regarded.
