Job Description

Chief Executive Officer

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead our facility in providing high-quality healthcare services. The CEO will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the facility, ensuring its financial stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Leadership and Strategic Direction: Oversee clinical, administrative, and financial operations to ensure the facility's success.
  2. Implement Strategic Plans: Manage and implement the facility's Strategic and Operational Plans, ensuring successful outcomes.
  3. Ensure Quality and Risk Management: Oversee the Organisation-wide Risk Management and Quality Management Frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and professional standards.
  4. Lead and Support Staff: Lead and support all facility staff, including the Director of Nursing, Administration Manager, and clinical teams.
  5. Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Ensure the delivery of the highest standards of patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
  6. Manage Financial Resources: Manage financial resources effectively, including budgeting, cost containment, and financial reporting.
  7. Promote Innovation: Promote innovation in healthcare delivery, integrating new technologies and sustainable practices into operations.
  8. Drive Staff Development: Drive staff development through education programs, orientation, and professional development initiatives.

Requirements:

  1. Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Health, Management, or Business.
  2. Post-graduate Experience: Post-graduate experience in a clinical field such as nursing, optometry, or allied health.
  3. Leadership Experience: Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  4. Decision-making and Problem-solving: Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Communication and Relationship-building: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  6. Computer Literacy: Advanced computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Resource Management: Proven ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.
  8. Integrity and Ethics: Commitment to ethical standards and integrity.
  9. Operating Theatre Certificate: Operating Theatre Certificate or equivalent operating room experience.
  10. Quality and Risk Management: Knowledge of Quality and Risk Management.
  11. Budget Management: Experience in managing budget cycles.
  12. Professional Associations: Membership of professional associations.
