Role Overview
The Reconciliations team at Vanguard plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of IBOR data by reconciling it against custodian and clearer records. This fast-paced environment requires effective management of multiple deliverables and stakeholder needs on a daily basis.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily functional responsibilities across reconciliations, redistributing resources as necessary to ensure timely and accurate completion of team deliverables and controls.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for associates, providing support and resolving escalated issues while maintaining capability to complete output in a supporting role as necessary.
- Assist in training and cross-training of crew members on various job responsibilities, including new hires and existing employees.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of current policies and procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, make recommendations, and lead initiatives to gain efficiencies and ensure quality.
- Ensure adherence to the risk and control framework established in the team, understanding audit requirements and maintaining appropriate documentation to support audits.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients and business partners, leading regular communication with banks to resolve outstanding reconciliation items.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum two years of business-related experience.
- High-level analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Ability to understand complex technical issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel) preferred.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills; team player with positive attitude.
Estimated Salary Range
$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
