About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our Shared Service Center in Krakow. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for recording, processing, and maintaining financial transactions in the general ledger.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recording and processing financial transactions in the general ledger, including journal entries related to prepaid expenses and accruals for invoices to come.
  • Reviewing and analyzing general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and proposing corrective actions.
  • Processing monthly payroll entries and ensuring reconciliations between the general ledger and the payroll subledger.
  • Managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Closing cooperation with other finance and accounting teams to ensure seamless communication and information flow.
  • Leading the preparation of month-end (pre-close work) and timely reporting, including P&L, Balance Sheet reconciliation, and monthly management reporting requirements.
  • Providing accurate and complete financial data (P&L) including analysis on main P&L's variances.
  • Collaborating with other entities to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Preparing the monthly VAT declaration/VAT returns and sharing these with the regional finance manager for their approval.
Requirements
  • 3 years of relevant experience as a general ledger accountant or financial controller.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong accounting knowledge on general ledger accounts and Balance Sheet reconciliation.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Accurate, detailed, and solution-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills and service-oriented.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
