Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AP Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily flow of invoices, processing and categorizing invoices, and maintaining accurate vendor records.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the daily flow of invoices, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  2. Process and categorize invoices using the system, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
  3. Maintain accurate and comprehensive vendor records in the database, ensuring up-to-date information.
  4. Identify opportunities for enhancing and suggesting improvements to AP processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Support the AP Team lead in incorporating new processes or tools into the Accounts Payable team, driving innovation and improvement.
  6. Collaborate closely with other departments and vendors to address issues, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
  7. Monitor and manage AP email inboxes, ensuring prompt response and resolution.
  8. Process bank statements and handle employee travel expenses, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
  9. Create and maintain vendor profiles, ensuring up-to-date information and accurate records.
  10. Generate batches for supplier payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  11. Control the G.R.N.I. balance sheet account, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records.
  12. Perform month-end closing activities, including closing the AP Subledger and IC balance confirmation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  13. Generate reports and conduct analyses related to Accounts Payable, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  1. Possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.
  2. Demonstrate expertise and specialization in Accounts Payable, with a strong understanding of AP processes and procedures.
  3. Very good knowledge of English and French, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  5. Possess an analytical understanding of the AP subledger, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  6. Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and a solution-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to quality and excellence.
