Facilities Maintenance Coordinator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Facilities Maintenance Coordinator.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about service excellence, operational uplift, and meaningful change.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our planned maintenance program across all facilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the coordination and monitoring of contractor-delivered planned maintenance services.
  • Liaising with contractors to manage scheduling, site access, task follow-up, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate service records and contractor performance data in Council systems.
  • Assisting in reviewing and validating contractor invoices and reports for alignment with service expectations.
  • Delivering responsive customer service by coordinating site access and managing stakeholder enquiries.
  • Tracking performance indicators and compliance requirements to support transparent reporting.
  • Ensuring audit readiness by keeping documentation complete, accurate, and accessible.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate or Diploma-level qualification in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Building Services, or lesser formal qualifications with significant demonstrated experience in a facility, contractor coordination, or compliance-based role.

To succeed in this role, you will require strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with contractors and internal stakeholders. You will also need to be able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain service continuity in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time permanent leadership position that will involve working across multiple locations and traveling within the municipality to undertake business-related tasks.
