We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a School Support Officer.
This role is part of the Education and Early Years (EEY) team within our Community and Sector Capacity Building program at Foundation House.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, young people, and families from refugee backgrounds by improving wellbeing and educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with schools and staff to increase inclusion of children, young people, and families from refugee backgrounds.
- Develop and deliver professional learning programs to enhance school staff's knowledge and skills.
- Maintain positive relationships within networks and partnerships to support refugee inclusion.
- Advise and advocate for health-promoting environments in schools.
- Participate in communication strategies to promote the Program and its work.
Requirements:
- Qualifications in education, social work, community development, health promotion, or related fields.
- Leadership skills and experience supporting practitioners in educational settings.
- Ability to collaborate with professionals and partners in the education sector.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience developing and delivering professional learning programs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Stakeholder engagement skills, including influencing and negotiating complex issues.
