Acting Head of Cultural Inclusion (POL3)

Penola Catholic College invites applications for the Acting Head of Cultural Inclusion (POL3) to lead the EAL programme for years 7-12. The role focuses on curriculum development, programme administration, compliance reporting, and student well-being, with responsibility for refugee students and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. The college supports English as an Additional Language learners and provides holistic support.

Penola Catholic College is excited to offer a fantastic leadership opportunity for a passionate and engaging Acting Head of Cultural Inclusion to join our innovative and contemporary teaching environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the EAL programme across all year levels (7–12).
  • Lead curriculum development and programme administration for Cultural Inclusion.
  • Manage compliance reporting and student well-being supports.
  • Support refugee students and students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, in collaboration with Learning Diversity Leaders to ensure CALD students are supported in the classroom.
About You

Demonstrates contemporary teaching practice, understands how students learn best, and has knowledge of Australian curriculum frameworks. Registered with VIT or eligible for registration. Demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and well-being of children.
