
Senior Claim Resolution Expert

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end claims across class actions, cluster claims, and high-value exposures, providing strategic advice on policy interpretation, litigation, and claim resolution.
- Collaborate with internal legal teams, panel firms, and counsel to manage legal complexities, attending mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings as required.
- Support technical oversight and mentoring within the Specialty claims team, developing governance frameworks and reporting for emerging risks and financial impacts.
- Promote alignment of claims strategies across internal stakeholders, contributing to process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance (mandatory), supported by industry qualifications such as Diploma in Financial Services (mandatory).
- 5–10 years' experience managing complex liability or professional indemnity claims, with litigation experience, including briefing panel firms or direct involvement (mandatory).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills, combined with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Experience mentoring and developing team members, sound knowledge of relevant legislation and claims systems.
