Overview

We're seeking a seasoned construction expert to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically-minded individual to develop their career in a dynamic and global environment.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in claims, commercial, contract administration, cost engineering, quantity surveying, and/or disputes advisory related roles.

A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, along with experience in preparing quantum expert reports, negotiating claims, and managing construction projects.

About the Role

The Construction, Projects and Assets (CP&A) practice is a leading provider of commercial management and dispute resolution services on complex projects across various industries.

We're looking for an Associate Director or Director-level candidate to work on a range of oil and gas, mining, infrastructure, building, civils, and renewable projects in the Australia and Asia Pacific regions.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on contractual, technical, and commercial issues related to construction projects.
  • Help resolve commercial disputes through early negotiation and mediation.
  • Assist clients in arbitration, litigation, and adjudication proceedings as needed.
  • Provide support to senior team members in project coordination and data analysis.
  • Review contracts and advise on relevant terms and conditions.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Claims, commercial, contract administration, cost engineering, quantity surveying, and/or disputes advisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in quantum expert report preparation, claim negotiation, and construction project management.
  • Site-based construction experience, preferably with knowledge of forensic delay analysis techniques.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
