About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at HammondCare Horsley.

The successful candidate will work in a supportive environment, assisting residents with daily living activities such as personal care, domestic assistance, and engaging with them in various activities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of elderly people with dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal care, including showering, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Engage with residents in various activities, promoting their well-being and quality of life.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in the condition of residents within your skills and competencies.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for serving elderly people and making a positive impact on their lives.
  • Flexibility and ability to commit to a range of shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge and experience working with people with dementia, with a focus on providing high-quality care.
  • A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or a related field is highly regarded.
