Job Opportunity

The role of Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 is available in the Aged Care Rapid Response Team. The successful candidate will provide clinical expertise and leadership to ensure optimal care for people aged 70 and over within Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs) and the community.

  • Employment Type: Temporary Full Time until 4 December 2026 (with possibility of ongoing employment)
  • Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2

Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Consultant coordinates comprehensive hospital avoidance strategies, facilitates appropriate fast track to diagnostic, assessment and treatment, and provides effective short term case management for older people. They also promote evidence based practice and advanced care planning.

Qualifications and Skills
Applicants must be registered with Authority to Practice with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. They should have minimum five years full time post graduate experience with 3 years full time equivalent in the specialty field, an approved post graduate qualification (minimum Grad Diploma/Certificate level), and demonstrated clinical leadership skills.
