
Program Manager

You will provide high-level strategic support to the Director and other senior managers to enable the successful delivery of programs and contribute to improvements in passenger transport infrastructure, services, and customer experience.
Key accountabilities include:
- Lead and manage a team responsible for program management and governance services, including delivering high-quality information, analysis, and advice to various audiences.
- Develop and implement strategies that support effective program delivery and benefits realization.
- Lead ongoing governance maturity and champion opportunities for strategic and operational improvements to program delivery.
- Regularly review program performance and act on emerging risks and issues.
- Develop the forward program with consideration of strategic priorities, network operations, and available resources.
- Liaise with stakeholders from other investment programs, government agencies, and external bodies to integrate program outcomes.
- Prepare and present communication materials about the program, including new initiatives, funding submissions, governance frameworks, and correspondence.
- Leadership and people management, including recruitment, performance, development, team communication, and ensuring a safe and diverse work environment.
- Management functions, including business planning, financial management, governance, and other responsibilities as legislated in the Public Service Act 2008 to ensure delivery of responsive, effective, and efficient services to the community and the government.
This position reports to the Director and has three direct reports. You will manage the Program Office team to deliver a range of program management and governance services, including program analysis and reporting, management of program benefits, risks/issues, and stakeholders, program prioritization and assurance activities, and integration with internal and external programs.
