Business Development Role

We are seeking a driven and technically skilled professional to lead business development efforts in the fabrication industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities for our engineering services and fabricated industrial & utility piping systems.

This role requires strong customer relationship-building skills, creativity, and commercial acumen. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of securing and managing large industrial or infrastructure projects and will be knowledgeable about piping systems, fabrication processes, and welding techniques.

The role involves working closely with the Fabrication team to ensure seamless project delivery and contributing to cost estimations, material recommendations, and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities
  • New Business Development - Identify and pursue opportunities in fabrication markets, develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Sales & Growth - Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender submissions, support negotiations to close profitable deals.
  • Technical Expertise - Provide product/service recommendations based on engineering principles, stay updated on welding technologies, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Account Management - Act as the main customer contact for projects, manage timelines, costings, and updates while maintaining long-term partnerships.
  • Internal Collaboration - Work closely with the Fabrication team to ensure seamless project delivery, contribute to cost estimations, material recommendations, and compliance with industry standards.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years' experience in business development, technical sales, or account management within fabrication.
  • Strong customer relationship-building skills, creativity, and commercial acumen.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing large industrial or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of piping systems, fabrication processes, and welding techniques.
