Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing exemplary care to residents while adhering to all legislative and regulatory standards.
  • Overseeing the care provided by nursing staff within your designated area.
  • Ensuring nursing practices meet established standards and managing the clinical unit's budget for supplies.
  • Staying informed about National Competency standards and skills related to Gerontology.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Legal working rights in Australia.
  • National Police Certificate.
  • Current Influenza and Covid-19 vaccination status (highly desirable).
  • Understanding of ANMC National Competency Standards for Registered Nurses and Gerontology-related skills.
  • Familiarity with Equal Opportunity Legislation, Aged Care Accreditation processes, and WorkSafe regulations.
  • Ability to complete documentation in accordance with management guidelines.
  • Skills in clinical management and coordination.
